IVAKOTA BOOK CLUB 2018

I am excited to announce Ivakota's inaugural Book Club - a project I'm working on with my wife Marissa Long. Book Club is a prompt for musicians and visual artists, asking them to respond to works of literature, philosophy, and science writing with music and images. Each musician is invited to spend a day at Ivakota to create the work, and each project culminates with an artist talk at the studio when all works are complete. Both the songs and limited edition prints of the visual artists' responses to the book will be made available for purchase online, with all proceeds donated to charity. The first book we've chosen is John Gardner's Grendel, and our first round of artists will be Becca Kallem, Bonner Sale, Collider, Friend, and FuzzQueen. First release will drop this summer - and the studio talk will be in mid/late July. More soon!
